What is mushroom?

Mushrooms are the eukaryotic, spore bearing organisms, macro-fungi lacking chlorophyll and
grow on dead decomposed matter as
saprophytes. They derive nutrients through their mycelia. This mycelium forms the fleshy structures, the fruit bodies, which are generally called the mushrooms.
